One of the things I wanted to do in my new office space was get organized. It's so easy to let paper clutter build up and the next thing you know, you have stacks and stacks of unorganized paper and that can quickly get out of control.

In addition to getting organized, I really wanted a happy and pretty office space to surround myself with. Adding splashes of colors  around the room is also a fun way to infuse my personality into the space.

After the holidays is a great time to get organized. We're stuck inside for the most part, so that's a great time to clean out drawers, organize desktops, and clear the clutter.

You'll feel so much better once the clutter is under control. I know I certainly do and I'm determined that I'm going to do a better job this year of keeping it all under control.

Tips to a pretty office space:

  • Go for color, something that represents YOU.
  • Add fabrics to personalize the space and add pops of fun hues around the room.
  • Add bins and baskets to corral the clutter and keep things handy, but not out in the open.
  • Paint baskets and containers fun colors to flow with your office décor.
  • Plain baskets can be taken up a notch with a fresh coat of spray paint.
  • Add a lamp or 2 around the room and turn off the overhead lighting for the most part.
