1. For even wear, rotate your sofa's cushions and pillows every week.
  2. Vacuuming your sofa once a week will keep it fresh by removing loose particles
  3. To keep leather furniture soft and lustrous, dust it weekly with a soft cloth and use a conditioner every 6-12 months.
  4. About once a year, professional cleaning is recommended.
  5. Avoid placing your sofa in direct sunlight if fading is a concern (both for fabric and leather).

Cleaning Your Sofa

Sometimes, spot cleaning can lead to a wet appearance or fading.

Cleaning the entire piece by a professional is always the best option. Immediately blot (don't rub!) fabric spills with a clean, absorbent white cloth.  Blot from the outside inward to prevent a ring from forming. For upholstery fabrics with thick piles, you can brush the fabric with a stiff bristle brush.  You can wipe away most spills on leather sofas.

Slipcovers

Keep your couch clean with slipcovers. At least once a month, wash and vacuum your slipcovers.  Slipcovers that are machine washable can usually be washed in cold water with mild detergent. Remember to close all zippers before washing. Let the slipcover tumble dry on low until it is slightly damp.
